Lord of the Rings Edoras Tour

Journey deep into middle-earth and visit the beautiful Mt Potts High Country station, home of Mt Sunday. This remote and peaceful mountain was transformed into Edoras, the capital city of the Rohan people in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Immerse yourself in the natural, unspoiled beauty of this breath-taking area with its sparkling clear lakes, glistening blue rivers and fresh, crisp mountain air.

Throughout your journey our friendly local guides will provide an entertaining and informative commentary. Learn about this spectacular region, the local flora, fauna and wildlife. You will also discover interesting and exclusive facts about the making of the Lord of the Rings movies.

Whether you are a Lord of the Rings fan or simply want to enjoy some of the best scenery New Zealand has to offer, this tour that has it all!

 

Tour Inclusions:

  • A short guided walk to stand on the summit of Edoras and enjoy 360° views.
  • View exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ photos of the construction of Edoras.

Full Day Tour – 8.5hrs from Christchurch  or 5.5hrs from Methven. Departs 9am from CHC. Returns 5.30pm – 6pm (times may vary). Warm jacket and sensible footwear are required. Pick up/drop off is available for most central city backpacker accommodation.

Urgent Coronavirus Update

Anyone that has arrived into New Zealand from Monday 16th March 1am is required to self-isolate for 14 days.  If you do not do this you will be deported out of New Zealand if you are caught. If you need advice you can call the health line  0800 358 5453 or +64 9 358 5453  Do not enter a hostel, a hospital or a doctors clinic instead call the health line if you think you have the coronavirus.  If you need somewhere to self-isolate we might be able to help you so send an email to [email protected]co.nz.  Many hostels are now checking your passports to see when you have entered the country and will report you to the police if you are not following the New Zealand requirements.
