The INNBetween Lodge & Backpackers is a boutique and homely hostel. Centrally located in the heart of Nelson, we pride ourselves on providing a high level of comfort with personal service. Renovated and modern, with a relaxed atmosphere, we aim to provide a new level of comfort in a hostel.

We’re an owner-run hostel, which provides an environment of personal service from staff who have travelled the world and can understand the tricky situations we all encounter when travelling. With a quality of furnishings not always seen in hostels, we aim to give a lot more at little cost. Our doors are open to people from all around the world and of all ages.

In the afternoon you can enjoy a drink in the sun on our fantastic balconies and in the evening you can enjoy some peace and quiet as there are no loud late-night venues directly by us. You can be assured of a good night’s sleep!

We are a small/medium hostel with a maximum capacity of around 75 people, which we believe is a perfect number for keeping our homely feel while enjoying a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

INNBetween has modern facilities with hairdryers/straighteners, central and underfloor heating, laundry machines and spa towels available.

WIFI - Free unlimited WiFi is available throughout the backpackers.
Kitchen - Fully equipped with ovens, grills, large food chillers, fridge, microwaves, steamers, toasted sandwich machines, rice cookers and eating utensils.
Storage - Store your luggage safely, each dorm bed also has a personal locker.
Bike Hire - Town bikes for our guests to hire, great way to see Nelson and it's beaches.
Lounge - Communal lounges with leather furniture, beautifully furnished coffee tables and large screen TV including a library corner filled with books, board games, a guitar and ukelele.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policy for short and mid stays (up to 29 nights): * Up to 7 days before arrival you can cancel free of charge. * Up to 24 hours before arrival you can cancel but you will lose your deposit. * If you cancel less than 24 hours of your arrival we will charge you the complete amount. Cancellation policy for long stays (from 30 nights). * Up to 29 days before arrival you can cancel free of charge, and your down payment will be returned. * Up to 14 days before arrival you can also cancel, but we will charge 30% of one monthly rate from your provided credit card. * If you do not cancel before these times, then we will charge your credit card or bill you for one full month’s rent. Cancellation policy for Christmas and New Years Eve reservations (stays between 20 December and 5 January): Up to 28 days before arrival you can cancel free of charge. You can also cancel up to 14 days before arrival, but we will charge you 50% of the reservation. If you do not cancel before these times, or in case of a No Show, the reservation is non refundable.
Do you have female only rooms?

Yes, we have a female only dorm.
Can I walk into town from the backpackers?

Yes, we are centrally located and a 2 minute walk from the shops.
