Mountain Jade Backpackers is located at 41 Weld St, Hokitika. There are great sunsets at the beach just 4 min away. There is also a covered, heated public swimming pool and spa just 50 meters away. There is a nearby National Kiwi Centre, fantastic Museum and several Pounamu carvers were you can carve your own memento. You can take a 2 hour walk around the town, checking out the local river that used to be the largest port in NZ.
