SAVE 10% on your tour; Kaikoura is not only famous for whales and dolphins but it is also regarded as a world class location  for viewing seabirds, and in particular albatross.  Close to shore, just a short boat trip away, you will soon see an impressive array of these majestic birds.  The albatross are enormous and have the longest wingspan of any bird with the wandering albatross in particular extending to a span of up to 3 metres.  The albatross live at sea for up to 7 years before they return to their breeding grounds to find a mate and commence the breeding process themselves.  The expert skippers will introduce you to the array of albatross species by species,  and will identify what is different and factually interesting about these “ great wanderers of the Southern Ocean”.   Allow 2.5 hours for this tour.  The tours operate daily except for Christmas Day.  Outstanding photography opportunities are guaranteed.
