Our top floor hostel features a wonderful, large outdoor covered deck with chill out spots, dining area, and an attached, well-equipped communal kitchen. We offer large and small dorms as well as female only dorms, private single and twin rooms. All linen is provided free.

FAQs

  • What time is check-in?
    Check-in time is from 2.30 PM. Guests are welcome to leave their bags in our bag room from 9 AM but must leave the hostel and return at 2.30 PM for check-in. Guests wanting to use hostel facilities can pay a $20.00 day use fee and use hostel facilities until their bed is ready at 2.30 PM checkin time. Please note Attic's kitchen is closed between 10 AM and 12 Noon for cleaning.
  • What time is check-out?
    Check-out time is by 10 AM. Guests can leave their bags in our bag room free of charge until 4 PM but will need to leave the hostel after 10 AM checkout. Guests wanting to continue using hostel facilities can pay a $20.00 day use fee and use hostel facilities until 6.00 PM. Please note Attic's kitchen is closed between 10 AM and 12 Noon for cleaning.
  • What are the reception hours?
    Attic's reception hours are 9 AM to 9 PM. Please ensure you provide a current email address with your booking if arriving outside these hours.
  • Do you have WiFi?
    We have free, unlimited WiFi throughout the entire hostel.
  • How do I get to Attic Backpackers from the airport?
    The easiest way to reach us is to take the SkyDrive bus which operates between Auckland airport and the SkyCity Coach Terminal, just a short walk from Attic. SkyDrive have a timetable on their website. Attic cannot make bookings on your behalf. If arriving outside of SkyDrives timetable hours, we recommend either Super Shuttle or catching a taxi or Uber.
  • Is alcohol permitted in the hostel?
    Attic is a social but not a party hostel. Guests are permitted a social BYO drink on our terrace but excessive drinking is not permitted and no drinking is allowed in the hostel after 11 PM. There are multiple nearby bars, restaurants and entertainment areas within a short walk from Attic.
  • Are you close to public transport?
    The intercity bus stop is just 5 minutes walk away and Britomart is just a 15 minute walk away. There are multiple other bus stops within walking distance too.
