Experience the award winning ½ day guided sea kayaking tours amongst a multitude of marine life with a 100% success rate for seal viewing.

Paddle with playful Fur Seals as they dive and manoeuvre around your kayak. Continue around the coastline for a chance of encounters with Dusky Dolphins, Blue Penguins and Albatross.

Take in the breath-taking scenery of the Kaikoura peninsula with the sheer cliff faces, craggy rocks and mountain tops while you paddle in their enclosed stable double sea kayaks.

The kayaks are easy to use, fast on the water and will keep you warm and dry. The cock pits are fitted with lumbar supports (for your back) and closed cell foam seats with foot pegs for comfort. Spray skirts are fitted keeping your legs protected from the elements.

Kaikoura Kayaks offers an experience for everyone from novices to families and the adventure seeker looking for an adrenaline rush.

All equipment is provided; dry bags for cameras, paddle jackets, life vest, spray skirts, wet shoes and dry pants available over the winter months.

Winter:  April-Sept 8:30am & 12:30pm

Allow 3 hours duration

What to wear:  Thermal top/fleece/shorts or light pants e.g. quick dry (no jeans), sunglasses, cap, running shoes or sandals, drinking water and camera.

$150.00 Adult with your discount pay $135.00

$75.00 Child (12 years & under) with your discount pay $67.50

Special conditions:

Clients who cancel their tour within 48 hours of the scheduled trip are not eligible for any refund. Kaikoura Kayaks reserves the right to cancel trips due to the weather and sea conditions. Where Kaikoura Kayaks cancels a kayaking trip prior to departure, a full refund is available. Where a trip has commenced and is subsequently cancelled, participants shall receive a 70% refund.

In any adventure activity, there is an element of risk involved. The risks and hazards include, but are not limited to property damage, personal injury, illness because of adverse weather conditions, risk of drowning or death, sunburn, dehydration, hyperthermia & exhaustion, rolling or capsizing or flipping kayaks and Sups, hitting obstacles, (such as rocks or other watercraft) or being hit by other watercraft and equipment failure.
