FAQs

  • Is check-in 24h?
    Yes. You can check in at any time if you reservation has been paid in full and we have all the details from you before your arrival. Just contact us in case you can’t make it before our reception closes(between 8 and 9PM) and we will arrange a late check in free of charge. In case of doubt, you can always contact our onsite manager at our free number: 0800 246 5569. Check out can be done before reception hours as well, you just need to drop your keys in our mailbox outside the reception door.
  • Is linen included? and wifi?
    Linen is always provided(pillow cases, bed sheets, duvet, blanket…) and you can rent towels in our reception. All our ensuite rooms come with toiletries and towels as well. Unlimited Wifi is always provided to everyone staying with us.
  • Can you organise our transportation for the tongariro crossing or any other activity?
    We can definitely help you. We prefer you to book it directly to avoid extra charges for the service provider or for you, but we can explain and point you in the right direction.
  • Can we sleep in our van/car/tent?
    During summer yes! We have a non powered area for overnight vehicles and a tent site area. Regardless of your option, we will provide you access to one of our lodges, so you can use a kitchen/living room area and bathrooms and showers. For prices and availability please check our website or contact us.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    During summer 3 days. All bookings will be charged 72 hours before check in and from that point are all considered non refundable. During winter 14 days. All bookings will be charged 2 weeks before check in and from that point are all considered non refundable.
  • Is breakfast included?
    It is not. You can always get some breakky at our onsite cafe, The Storm Shelter, that opens every day from 7:30AM. You can always cook in the kitchen of your lodge or try any of the options in town, all of them walking distance.
